HOBBS/POEHLS DISTRICT ATTORNEY FIELD PLACEMENT
(LAWD-5001) - 6 UNITS

In the second semester of the Hobbs/Poehls District Attorney program, students will be placed as certified law clerks working in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, where they will perform all tasks of a certified law clerk, including the possibility of conducting felony preliminary hearings, misdemeanor jury trials or juvenile adjudications. Students must work a minimum of two full days a week (for 4 pass/ fail units) or a maximum of 3 full days a week (for 6 pass/ fail units) as part of their placement.

Participation in the Hobbs / Poehls DA Practicum fulfills the Capstone requirement for both the Civil and Criminal Litigation Concentrations.
