MENTAL DISABILITY LAW SEMINAR
(LAWI-4066) - 2 UNITS

This course allows students to delve into some of the most challenging and timely legal issues facing persons with mental disabilities. The course covers civil issues, including employment accommodations, parity in health care coverage, outpatient commitment, access to professions, and patients' rights in institutions and in the community. Students will make an in-class presentation and write a research paper that satisfies the upper division writing requirement as defined in the student handbook.

Students who have taken Mental Disability Law are not permitted to enroll in this course.
