MEDIATION ADVOCACY

This course will allow students to examine the theory and practice of how to effectively represent clients in mediation, which is the preferred mechanism for settlement. Students will develop this competency under various models of mediation. The course will take the student through all aspects of client representation from counseling regarding Alternative Dispute Resolution methods, choosing the right mediator, writing mediation briefs and agreements, pivotal legal issues, focusing on appearing in the mediation session and effectively negotiate on your clients behalf.
