NEGOTIATING TALENT AND PRODUCTION AGREEMENTS FOR FILM AND TELEVISION

This course is designed to equip students with a practical understanding of how film and television deals are structured, negotiated, and documented in today?s entertainment industry. Participants will learn how projects move from idea to screen, who the key players are, and how above-the-line agreements allocate creative control, financial risk, and economic upside. Through a deal-focused and practice-oriented approach, the course examines the core agreements that drive Hollywood transactions, including rights acquisition agreements, writer and producer agreements, and actor and director deals for film and television (including digital media) and the key issues that arise on both sides of the deal.
