YJEC/NLSLA ADVANCED ADMINISTRATIVE LITIGATION
(LAWJ-4275) - 1 UNIT
The YJEC/NLSLA Advanced Administrative Litigation course is limited to students who have previously completed the Youth Justice Education Clinic. This course focuses on teaching law students lawyering skills required to represent clients in school expulsion hearings in areas traditionally lacking access to legal counsel. The course trains students on advanced administrative trial skills, such as direct and cross examination, impeaching witnesses, and making opening and closing statements. Admission to course is by application only. This will be coupled with a 2-unit clinical hours component.
