SCOTT MOOT COURT COMPETITION COURSE
(LAWO-7110) - 3 UNITS

The Scott Moot Court Competition is LMU Loyola Law School's intramural appellate advocacy competition. To participate, students must have completed the Appellate Advocacy course in the summer or fall term. Before the competition, students receive weekly instruction on advanced skills in brief writing, editing, and oral advocacy. After the rigorous course component, students submit a revised version of the appellate brief they drafted in the Appellate Advocacy course and present oral arguments in a tournament-style competition. Top performers are eligible to join the Scott Moot Court Honors Board and may also be invited to represent the law school in an external moot court competition during the following academic year.
