INTERNET LAW

This is a survey course in Cyberlaw - the law of and on the Internet. It will cover many of the legal and policy issues raised by the emergence and dominance of the Internet as a means for communication, commerce and social interaction. Topics may include free speech, privacy, piracy, e-commerce, national and personal security, trademark, copyright, network neutrality, jurisdiction, technical regulation and Internet governance. No technical background is needed; relevant context and technology will be taught in class.

This course may be offered for 2 or 3 units.
